MMS (which stands for Multi-Media Messaging Service) is a great way to showcase your products as well as a way to draw customers in and get them to your site. Although sending an MMS message does increase your price per message, the cost will have been well worth it as MMS messages are proven to outperform SMS messages by a long shot.
Did you know:
- MMS delivers a 15% higher click-through rate than SMS
- MMS is 4x more likely to be shared on social media
- Recipients are 20% less likely to unsubscribe
Now that you know how important it is to include a picture or a .gif with your messages, you are probably wondering which photo to choose!
Best practices:
- You may use any of the following file formats: .jpg, .png and .gif
- We will automatically compress images above 600kb for you (4.5Mb max), some reduction in quality might occur during compression.
- If your image or .gif is too large, try this easy online resizing tool
- All media aspect ratios must be 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, or 9:16.
- The optimal size for static images is 1080w x 1920h. Do not place any important content above 218 pixels at the top or 150 pixels at the bottom, as it may be lost in the preview delivery.
- For .gif files - it’s important to use .gifs that are close to being square (400x400). If they are too wide or tall, they could be cut off, and recipients would need to click to expand to get the full experience.
- Always be sure to test your messages on multiple devices as the experience can differ for each type of phone
