How to create a segment with Recharge data
You can create segment based on whether a customer has a subscription, what product they’re subscribed to, and how many times they’ve received their subscription product. Here’s how.
First, you can create a segment based on whether or not your audience has a subscription. This is a great option if you want to send a Broadcast inviting your audience without subscriptions to sign up. Just create a segment of your list that “is not subscribed” “to any product.”
You can even find Broadcast templates in our template library that you can send to this segment to grow your subscription program. Visit the library here and click on “Subscription.”
You can also create a segment of customers who have subscribed, including what product they subscribed to.
And lastly, you can segment based on how many times a subscriber has received their subscription product.
You can use these segments in your Broadcasts, or to create more targeted Experiences!
How to create an Experience with Recharge triggers
Recharge Experience triggers allow you to create full lifecycle campaigns that lock in subscriptions. Here’s what you can do:
- Welcome new customers, trigger when subscription is activated
- Get feedback, follow up with an experience when a subscription is canceled
- Remind customers of upcoming subscription charge
- Retain subscribers by triggering messaging if a payment method fails
The easiest way to get started is to create a new Experience and select a Recharge template. Just scroll to the bottom of the templates to see Recharge options. You can change any of the copy to be in your brand voice, add branches, or even add segmentation to be more targeted.
You can also start from scratch and just create a new Experience with a blank template, and select a Recharge trigger from the menu.
Just a reminder that you can use any of your Recharge segments to create more targeted Experiences. Want to send a different welcome message based on what product the customer subscribed to? Just create a segment of subscribers based on the product and add it to an Experience!
