Our Broadcast Wizard walks you through step-by-step how to schedule a Broadcast for your customers. Broadcasts are blasts that can be sent to specific segments of customers to notify them of new sales or product releases, for example. You can also schedule a follow up message to customers who haven't purchased after your initial Broadcast.

On the left side of the Wizard you'll see clearly which step you're on in the process. We provide a preview screen on the right side to show you exactly how your Broadcast will appear when sending to your customers.

1. Message

With just a few pieces of information, your can stage your Broadcast and see how it will appear for your customers.

  • Title: The title of your Broadcast should be descriptive for when you are looking back to review analytics for your campaign: "July Sale", "Spring Product Launch", "Last chance reminder", etc.
  • Message: This is the actual text content your customers will receive. Use the <name> merge tag to make your content personal. To add a name default for subscribers on your list without a name, click on “name” in the message and type in a default word. See more here. We'll also validate the links that you add to make sure that they are redirecting properly and won't cause issues when sending your Broadcast. Please note the maximum character limit is 1,000 characters.
  • Discount code: Used for campaign attribution purposes. If we have a code, we'll look at the codes used during checkout to help attribute sales back to the Broadcast. More info about attribution can be found here.
  • Image: Adding an image is super quick. Drag and drop the image in the box or click on the box to select one from your computer. We will automatically compress images above 600kb for you (5mb max). Currently, we support .jpeg, .png, and .gif file types.
  • A/B test: You can A/B test any copy or image to help optimize your Broadcast performance. Once you create a message click "Create A/B test," create a message for Variant B, select your test size, and how to select the winning variant. You can read more detail here.
  • Follow up: You can easily schedule a follow up message to customers who haven't ordered (see image below).
  • Save draft: You can save a Broadcast message for later at any time by clicking the Save draft button. Scroll down to the Drafts tab to edit one of your draft messages.

If you'd like to send a follow up message to customers who haven't ordered after your initial Broadcast, turn on the toggle and follow the prompts. By default, we'll send a follow up Broadcast to customers who received your first message AND have not purchased in the past 24 hours. You can adjust the follow up time in the next step.

Brands generate an average of 82% more in sales from follow-up Broadcasts, with minimal opt outs!

You can also schedule your follow up Broadcast if you've decided to send one. We default to sending that 24 hours after your initial message. You can use the slider to adjust the follow up timeframe.
