Shopify brands can capture and send emails collected via Emotive Popups directly within the app in ease.
Please note:
- If you have an existing Wisepops popups you'll have to set up this connection again within Emotive.
- Make sure that you've logged in to Emotive with your Shopify account. Here's how.

How to connect Mailchimp in Emotive
- Create a new signup flow (popup) or choose from an existing flow
- Navigate to Signups:
- Left nav > Signup flows > click on the "New signup flow" button > select "Emotive Popup."
- Click on EMAIL + SMS in your touchpoints option
- Select Mailchimp as your Email Service Provider that you’d like to associate with this popup.
- In a new tab go to your Mailchimp account
- Click on your account name at the bottom left of the main menu.
- Select Account from the drop-down menu.
- Open the Extras menu.
- Choose API keys from the drop-down menu.
- Copy an existing one or Create a new API Token
- Navigate back to Emotive, where you’re creating your popup and paste the copied API token into the input box and click connect.
- Once connected, you should see a green checkmark and a selected state
- Choose your list to start syncing your email collected from the popup
- Please allow up to 15 minutes for our initial sync to complete.
- Activate your Popup to start syncing!

Mailchimp API Token Access In Details
- Click on your account name at the bottom left of the main menu.
- Select Account from the drop-down menu.
- Open the Extras menu.
- Choose API keys from the drop-down menu.

From the API keys page, you can now generate an API key. Scroll down the page, if needed and click on the Create a Key button.

This takes you to the Create A Mobile Client Key page. From here, you provide a Label and Developer Email to associate with the API keys. Click Create Key to generate your API key.


From the Your Client Key page, click Copy to Clipboard to copy Your Key into the Input for API Token in Emotive.
